Out with the voxel placeholder, in with real 3D
The placeholder voxel art around the original arena did its job. It let us test the systems without spending time on the look. We always knew it had to go.
It is gone now. The new build runs on custom models for buildings, props, and the arena perimeter. Everything is measured and packed algorithmically so models don't intersect or stretch, regardless of which arena they show up in.
Audio got the same treatment
The placeholder synth tones we used during prototyping are out. Real audio is in. Casting loops, footsteps, hit sounds, and network spell events all sound like the things they are supposed to.
UI style pass
Style UI tweaks with new fonts and colours landed alongside the art work. Damage numbers got a small jump motion when they spawn. Combat reads better at a glance and the whole HUD feels less placeholder.
