The Outclassed launcher is here
The Outclassed launcher is out. One download, one icon on your desktop, and the client keeps itself current from there. Windows, macOS, and Linux all ship from day one.
Why we cared about getting this right
Alpha builds change fast. Asking testers to re-download a zip every few days is a tax. The launcher checks for updates on startup, pulls the delta, and you are playing on the latest build inside of a minute. No reinstall, no version-mismatch errors.
Per-platform
Windows ships as a native, signed installer. macOS gets a native app bundle with a fix-and-launch shim that handles first-run permission quirks on macOS. Linux gets a distro-friendly tarball that auto-updates the same way the other two do.
Long-term, this is how we will distribute the game outside Steam as well. Steam handles its own updates when we eventually launch there. The launcher remains the path for testers and anyone who wants the latest patch before it lands on the storefront.
